Exploring the open world of Hogwarts Legacy reveals dozens of unique side quests, but the Ghost of Our Love mission features one of the most memorable treasure maps. Players discover a parchment displaying a forest, a bridge, and floating candles that lead toward a hidden chest. Solving this mystery requires locating the exact starting point and visiting it under specific conditions.
Finding the Map with Floating Candles
The quest map is picked up during house-specific main missions early in the story line. Depending on your chosen Hogwarts house, you may find the item in Hogsmeade graveyard, Owlery, or near a mysterious chest. Inspecting your inventory allows you to examine the sketch showing a stone bridge and forbidden trees.
Keeping track of side quests and secrets is easier when following daily gaming news updates for major action RPGs. This particular objective offers valuable gear appearances upon completion.
Navigating to the Puzzle Starting Location
To begin solving the map, fast travel to the Forbidden Forest Floo Flame location during night hours. If it is currently daytime, open your map menu and wait to advance the in-game clock to nightfall. Walk directly south from the waypoint toward the nearby stone bridge that spans the river.
Position yourself at the end of the bridge nearest to the forest entrance. Standing in this exact spot triggers the environmental interaction necessary for the candles to spawn.
Activating the Magical Trail with Lumos
Once you are on the bridge at night, cast the Lumos spell using your wand. Casting this spell causes enchanted floating candles to materialize immediately in front of you. These magical lights will slowly begin drifting into the tree line of the Forbidden Forest.
Follow the candles closely as they path deeper into the woods along a gentle dirt trial. Do not worry about straying into dangerous beast territories, as the path remains relatively safe.
Claiming Your Quest Rewards
The floating candles will lead you up a small hill to a romantic hillside setup complete with a table and chairs. Once you arrive at the designated spot, a treasure chest will appear next to the glowing candles. Opening the chest completes the Ghost of Our Love quest and awards exclusive cosmetic gear alongside experience points.
